Ansett Australia was a major Australian airline group, operating from 1936 until its collapse in 2001. Once the second-largest domestic and international airline in Australia, it played a pivotal role in the country’s aviation history. Ansett offered a comprehensive network of domestic and international routes, and was known for its high standards of service. However, a combination of factors, including financial difficulties, increased competition, and the impact of the September 11th attacks, led to its dramatic and sudden demise, leaving a significant void in the Australian aviation landscape and impacting thousands of employees.
The Ansett legend lives on with Collectable Aircraft Wings Australia stocking a diverse range of Ansett models from the early 1950s all the way to the final days of the companies operation in 2002. Brands such as AeroClassics, Gemini Jets, JC Wings and InFlight 200, just to name a few, have all produced stunning scaled reproductions of the many aircraft and liveries operated by Ansett over it’s 66 years in Australian skies.
